Curtain Calls: Ranking the 20 Greatest Final Pitcher Seasons of All Time

In light of Derek Jeter’s announcement that 2014 will be his final season, I thought it would be interesting to rank the greatest final seasons of all time.  This week in part two of the series I will be ranking the 20 greatest final pitching seasons.  I’m only including pitchers that appeared on at least one hall of fame ballot (with the exception of Rivera, who isn’t eligible yet).  Once again, any career that was cut short by suspension or un-timely death will be excluded (ex. Darryl Kile, J.R. Richard, Eddie Cicotte).  Final seasons are final! If a qualifying pitcher faced even one batter, then I am considering that his final year. No dead ball-era players will be included. If you have any player suggestions or feel that I overlooked someone, feel free to leave feedback in the comments.
